December views: Grammie

Using what I learned in Misty Mawn's Ulterior Mural Motif class, I began this project... when? Back in October? Now in December, it's finally finished.

This is a tribute to my Grammie. I felt much peace and happiness as I worked on it. Photocopies of her letters and cards to me form her dress. The yoyos represent her love of handwork as well as her lovely gardens. Each yoyo is topped with a button from her collection that she passed on to me.

Her love still envelops me. I was so lucky to have such a grammie.
