This week Misty has given us a prompt: self-portraits. This is not my typical self-portrait, but I had a lot of fun with it. Funny, actually, that we got this prompt right after Deirdra and I did photo shoots of each other yesterday - she needed a photo for workshop promos, and I needed some for LK Ludwig's class, The Poetic Eye. Sometimes my face in a photo scares me - I don't recognize that older face I have now! But I'm getting to know it, and beginning to feel more comfortable with it - sometimes!
So much more I want to post tonight, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow! (I'm fishing through photos, editing, downloading to disk to free up space on the hard drive, one thing leads to another... 1:19 a.m. as I finish this!) G'night.

Great journal page. Funny my self portrait is the up view of of the nose too. But I didn't nail it the way you did...very good.

What do you mean? Super cute chica is what I see/ Check out my blog for my self portrait. I find when I have something to look at directly I can draw better...the highlights aren't right but I haven't had much luck with the shivas lately...what are you using to color with?
